HOW TO ENTER

The easiest way to win a seat at LAPT Punta del Este event is to qualify online with PokerStars.com. PokerStars' online satellites for LAPT Punta del Este in Uruguay are running now until July 27 with buy-ins from as little as $2.20. Daily qualifiers give players the chance to win an LAPT prize package worth $5,000 - including the $2,500 + $200 tournament buy-in, four nights' hotel accommodation (from August 6-10) and spending money towards flight/food/expenses. To enter, go to the PokerStars tournament lobby, click "Events", then "LAPT".

Direct Buy-in Information
Players who'd like to register in advance for LAPT Punta del Este (and be guaranteed a seat!) should e-mail registrations@pokerstars.net to receive instructions on sending their payment by wire transfer or bank draft. Players may buy $2,500 + $200 seat-only packages or they may also buy four-night LAPT accommodation packages which include breakfast - depending on availability. The deadline for advance payment by wire transfer or bank draft is July 31, 2008.

For those wishing to pay in person, cash purchases only will be accepted until the last moment depending on availability. Credit card buy-ins are not accepted and you cannot buy in from your PokerStars account.

ABOUT PUNTA DEL ESTE / URUGUAY

Punta del Este is Uruguay's premier seaside resort - the "crown jewel" of the country's thriving tourist industry. Punta lies about 90 minutes/90 miles east of the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo, and is also a very popular destination for people in Buenos Aires as it's only a short hop (one-hour plane ride) to Punta across the Rio de La Plata. Punta is famed throughout Latin America for its beautiful beaches, great restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Uruguay is bordered by Brazil and Argentina, and is the second smallest country in South America with a population of just under 3.5 million people.

HOW TO GET THERE:

There are direct flights to Montevideo's Carrasco International Airport from many US cities including Miami, Atlanta, Houston and Dallas. There are direct flights from most South American capitals, and several European destinations such as Madrid and London Heathrow.

From other major cities, you might need to change at Miami, Buenos Aires or other hubs.

You can also take a one-hour flight from Buenos Aires direct to Punta del Este's small international airport, or three hour ferry ride.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO HOTEL:

From Montevideo, it is a 90-minute taxi ride to Punta del Este. From Punta airport to the Mantra is a 20 minute taxi ride.
