ABOUT LIMA

Lima is one of the biggest population centers in all of Latin America. Nearly nine million people live in and around Lima. It's quickly becoming one of the largest financial hubs in this part of the world. Founded by Spanish conquistadors nearly 500 years ago, Lima is now home to approximately one-third of Peru's people.

Lima is largest metropolitan center in Peru, and it also serves as its capital. Located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, Lima sits on the desert coast edge of the Pacific Ocean.
